Haematological, histopathological, serological and cultural stu dies were performed on 80 guinea pigs inoculated with BRUCEL LA ABORTUS STRAIN 544 in order to achieve early laboratory diagnosis of brucellosis. The eighty guinea pigs were individually inoculated with 100,000 Brucella organisms. The animals were classified into 8 groups. Blood and tissue samp < /strong>les were collected after one hour, 24 hours, 3 days, one, 2,3,4 and 6 weeks post inoculation.
