Xiphidiocercariae were noticed ot emerge from the snail Melania tuberculata. They were fully described particularly in relation to morphology and behaviour. The present cer caria was compared with other locally described forms as well as xiphidiocercariae recorded from different parts of the world, and was found to be a hitherto unknown species. However, it was not given a specific name waiting for exploration of its life cycle.
