Abstract

The trematode fauna of 45 stray dogs, 29 stray cats and 673 different rodents was estima ted and surveyed. Representatives of 4 trematode families were encountered viz Echinosto matidae, Heterophyidae, Cyathocotylidae and Diplostomatidae. Thirteen different species of trematode parasites were examined and described from them one new variety was reported from cats Cyndiplostomum buboisi var. assiutis n. var.
