Abstract

Blood pressure (BP) was measured in 54 horses (30 Egyptian Arabic thoroughbreds and 24 Egyptian mixedbreds horses using electronic oscillometeric technique. Age and pregnancy showed significant (P<0.05) differences in systolic and diastolic pressure. Variations in classes and sex showed significant (P<0.05) difference in diastolic pressure. There was no correlation between pulse, heart rates and blood pressure. The value of measuring BP is practical, when it is combined with
the clinical signs.
